HSL can supply Venlo and Wide-Span designs, of unlimited height. Ceiling and gable systems are installed using various types of glass or plastic glazing materials. Various ceiling and ventilation systems are possible; single or multiple ridge vents, gable vents and even a second or third cultivation level can be a design option.
Venlo glasshouses are typically designed in roof spans of 3.20m, but 4.00m are becoming popular. Glasshouse widths can be made up of between one and four roof sections, supported by a trellis girder to provide a greater open space between support posts. Venlo glasshouses can be glazed in different materials and include toughened glass, white glass, polycarbonate and standard commercial horticultural glass.
The Venlo structure is suitably designed to accommodate all services, such as screening, lighting or heating systems and new glasshouses will conform to BS5502 standard as well as the Dutch NEN.
HSL provides designs for wide-span greenhouses in standard sizes of 8.00, 9.60, 12.80 and 15.00 metres, but any spans up to 40 metres is possible, depending on your requirements.
Insect netting and ceiling-mounted roller screens are easy to install from these structures - this can be discussed at project start.
